From September 21-23, 2009, MLI hosted the Negotiating Health Development Leadership Training in Kathmandu, Nepal for the senior team from the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP). Responding to a request for enhanced leadership skills from the MoHP, the workshop, facilitated by CMPartners, offered a set of tools and best-practices in negotiation, conflict management and effective communication. The facilitators emphasised the practical application of these tools in the everyday lives of the senior leadership at the MoHP. The workshop offered participants the opportunity to experiment with a framework for negotiation and to apply their learning in one-on-one and team negotiations dealing with their real-world issues.
